The coolest school trip ever was to the Vancouver Aquarium! Right after our school hours, my fellow students , teachers and I, were getting ready to go to the Vancouver Aquarium. It took a while to get ready, but after the drivers got there we went on our way. It took around an hour to get to the ferry terminal. It was so exciting! The first thing I did before we got on the ferry was listen to instructions and safety rules. Finally we got on the ferry and me and my friend were hungry so we went to the cafeteria to get some food. It was so tasty! Those chicken strips were good but expensive. It was $12 for one meal! After a late lunch we headed back to our seats to find that some students got in trouble, but we just ignored them and waited for the ferry ride to end. After we came to a halt we walked off the boat and caught a bus heading towards the Aquarium. The bus dropped us off at Stanley Park and we walked to the aqurium. When we got there we had to wait a long time before we went in.
Now I’m going to talk about what we did and where we slept. First of all my group went and watched the big tank in the middle of the building ,it had all types of life in there coral, rock fish, sturgeon and many more. Did you know a sturgeon can grown up to 7–12 feet (2-3½ m) in length? After that we learned how dense the fur on a sea otter is. If you put a pinkie span on a piece of fur on a sea otter, there is more hair there then on your head! My favourite part of this whole field trip was probably seeing a sturgeon so close. I have never seen a sturgeon. I learned that sea urchins have good defensive tactics to scare off their predators. My class and I spent our night sleeping in front of the beluga tank. All of what I learned has made me a smarter person in the area of marine life.
If you ever end up in Vancouver be sure to go to the Vancouver Aquarium.

Hello this is Challenge eight.
I’m writing about Mrs smith blog it called Mrs smith.ca what a neat name it has a website ending but her last name added in.
On Mrs smith.ca they are learning about municipal and provincial government. There class just had a Knowledge auction about government . The point of the auction was to get 11 questions right and you would win. The main questions were things about there country such as what is your provincial bird and provincial flower. Mrs smith.ca is actually quite amazing of a blog with all those widgets, videos and pictures, hopefully you can visit this blog too.
Thank you for reading my post and hope you comment.

Hello these blogs that I’m recommending are very educational and are made from teachers and students. They have worked hard on them and keep posts positive out of respect for the blogger. Only say what is said in the post and not anything else unless they’re your friends and want to talk about homework not after school activities. These are 3 blogs I’m recommending.
Kids in the Mid
This blog is Miss Wyatts . Her newest post is talking about creative commons and adding pictures with creative commons on your post.
Climb High! Hello, this blog is neat. The newest post has something very similar to the entrepreneur fair. They make products and sell them for charities and spending money.
Mrs. Yollis’ ClassroomMrs Yollis is a teacher me and fellow students have been to. The blog has many interesting videos, pictures and more.
These Three blogs are very neat and can influence you to become a blogger.

The reason why I am nominating this blog is because it has a great post called Little gems dug up in the forest. It has little sentences from the students poems. One of the sentences is by Jaiden and this is his sentence “I look up at the blue sky, not cloud in sight.
The sun is in the corner of my eye.” Huzzah has been a partner for The Ripple Effect for quite a while. I hope I can do something with them because they are one great blog I mean blogs. Huzzah has many things that you could learn. One that there blog is awesome. Two the educational purpose of commenting. Each time I go to huzzah they have something new to learn about like they just went down to the marina to learn about sailing now that has a educational and safety purpose in it. They learned to wear a life jacket and the safety around a boat.
Thank you huzzah for letting me nominate you and hopefully more join in.

Why I think avatars are good for blogging. Well it makes it safer for you and people around you. Your identity doesn’t get out if you have a avatar. But if you put a picture up of yourself you put yourself in danger of Internet stalkers. So don’t put it up, avatars are useful for privacy and identity.
So don’t Put your name and last name out make up a fake last name or fake first name just protect yourself.
Thank you for reading and remember use a avatar!
This is for Challenge 2.
Hello, my new year resolutions have been coming along well. In January I made four resolutoins in four categories: personal, school, community, global.
For my personal goal I have stayed away from chocolate for most of the time. The only times I have it is when it’s in mints or suckers. Chocolate is one thing I find it hard to stay away from because a couple of day ago my class and I went to Hot Chocolates and of course I had to have chocolate. There was so much to choose from so basically my chocolate resolution failed because I couldn’t hold myself to it. But the rest of my resolutions have been successful so far.
For my school goal I have worked very hard on my assignments and haven’t given up. I have also listened to the teacher more. Well I have mostly listened to her. I sometimes don’t but that’s when I’m distracted so I barely listen. When that happens I ask the teacher what to do. On my blog I have published 20 post. Yes I have! I actually have 23 posts and counting.
I feel I have done pretty well on my resolutions. I have to continue working on them until the end of December which means I still have time to work on my chocolate goal. We’ll see if I can make it to the end of the year.

Creative is where you have licenses of pictures such as the widget that say cc on it. That is a license It means you have creative commons pictures. My blog has plenty of creative commons pictures. I have checked them over and they have to be good for use like has to be able to remix and use it on my blog. That is why at the end of every post with a picture I have a link to the picture and person. Creative Commons is basically where you search for pictures that you may use. Like really all of my pictures are useful for my post they have to match my post.
Well that all for now and thanks for stopping by.

On October the 28Th I made my first draft/post. It’s called “Why I’m Blogging.” My grammar and punctuation was very poor and wasn’t as good as today’s work. Now I have learned how to put my proper punctuation down on my post and have been making great posts!! I think my greatest post yet is On The Sidelines (Nomination). This post has great punctuation and I have worked really hard on it. The first link takes you to the blog “On The Sidelines” and the second link takes you to the nomination post. Each post has some differences too. My first post is lame, no action, no punctuation,no details . But my newest posts have been fairly exciting and I am inspired by them. I have seen many posts. Some have amazing grammar, and some don’t. It just depends on how committed he or she is. If you’re not committed It’s less likely your work is going to be good. So if you learned something about this you always want to be committed.
Thanks for stopping by and remember to work your hardest.

I can’t believe it! The FIFA World Cup has started!!!! The FIFA World Cup is a huge soccer tournament because it’s all around the world, and because of this, all of the countries join together for one sport, soccer/football. My favourite team is USA because there is no Canadian team that I know of . All of the FIFA World Cup is actually great. There is tons of action, lots of confusion and lots of team work for the soccer players. They have to tell each other where there going and when to pass.
That all for now and remember to visit FIFA.com Thank you.

I am Connor and I’m in grade 7. I live in the Comox valley. I love to play hockey and play video games. My favourite video game is Mario and Luigi: Bowser’s Inside Story. It has some really cool parts. One part is where Mario and Luigi are hitting orbs to make Bowser stronger. My favourite movie is Tranformers 2: Rise of the Fallen. It is a good movie because it has awesome fighting scenes. Do you like this movie as well?My favourite animal is a dog because they are cuddly , fuzzy and fun to play fetch with.
I’m enjoying commenting on other people”s blogs. I hope other people will want to comment on mine.
